Hargeisa(SD)-Various delegates led by the former vice president of Somaliland Ahmed Yusuf Yasin have held meetings with opposition parties to end the dispute between the government and the opposition parties.
The delegates met for the first time with the leadership of both Wadani and UCID, and agreed to end the rally that Wadani called for and accepted.
UCID party chairman Faisal Ali Warabe said the delegates from the former vice president, the Academy of Peace and civil society organizations have met with the two parties and proposed to stop the rally, and the committees will meet with Interior Minister Mohamed. Kahin and President Bihi.
Also, UCID chairman Faisal Ali Warabe said it was wrong to arrest Wadani party officials and suspend meetings with their supporters at Wadani headquarters.
On the other hand, rallies took place in Burao and Ceerigaabo, in support of Wadani party chairman’s statement, that the controversial members were removed from the electoral commission. the rallies were peacefull.
