Mogadishu(SD)-The United States has issued statement regarding their forces carrying out an airstrike in Jilib, Middle Juba, on Saturday.

A statement from AFRICOM says it is currently assessing the damage caused by the bombing of the Al Shabaab bases in Jilib, Somalia.

“We are assessing the result of the shelling, however we have no civilians hurt so far,” said the US Africa Command.

The US Africa command pledged to continue bombarding the terrorist group’s bases with the support of the Somali government.

US continues to carry out airstrikes against al-Shabaab who is fighting the Somali government and foreign forces supporting it.
