Somaliland Ministry of interior has recently issued a decree to dismiss all of the city councilors special meetings to depose mayors.

The arrested MPs are Burale Mawled Aw Abdi, MP Hassan Mohamed Dhegjar, MP Mahdi Mohamed Hashi Jiijaa and MP IId Hassan Abdi.
