Jigjiga city’s main roads were closed today

Jigjiga (SD) – Reports from Jigjiga city, the capital of the Somali state in Ethiopia indicate that the main roads were all closed today.

The reason for the closure of these roads is because the Christian residents of the City are celebrating their holidays today and are expected to take it to the city’s main streets.

This has affected the residents of the city, as traffic is limited, and the large number of people who are using the city’s main public transportation, the Bajaj, are forced to pay more.

Roads have been closed since yesterday, but some of the roads were useble, however, today most of the city’s roads are closed.

Jigjiga is a predominately a Muslim country, and it’s not clear why its main streets are shut down, residents don’t see the value of the inconvenience.
