Jigjiga(SD)-The people of Jigjiga city are participating in a national tree planting efforts in the areas of Jigjiga town administration.

So far, trees have been planted in public gathering areas such as offices, hospitals, mosques and other places.

The government workers were seen participating, while other residents were given vegetables to be grown in their neighborhoods.

Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiyi Ahmed has recently ordered the planting of 200 million trees in the country so that the country will soon be green.

Other Somali state of Ethiopia councils are also in the process of planting trees today.
