ONLF: The strategy we fought for yesterday is still the same

Asmara(SD)The Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) has said it has not changed its plans for fighting, despite having signed a comprehensive peace agreement with the Ethiopian government.

ONLF Chairman Admiral Mohamed Omar Osman said the territory of the Somali region is a Somali owned, but it is under Ethiopian control and needs to be liberated.

“The Ogaden region is now part of the Ethiopian government, and we say that it is not part of Ethiopia. The plan we fought for was it’s not yours, but ours.

The ONLF statement comes as the rebels entered into an agreement with the Ethiopian government and their forces have joined the local government forces and some have joined the civilian population.
