Hargeisa (SD) – The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi today addressed the two Houses of the Somaliland Parliament and for the first time spoke about the apology and  Farmajo’s supposed trip to Hargeisa.

About Farmajo

The president said he would never allow that the Somali president Mohamed Farmajo to visit the Somaliland capital of Hargeisa.

However, the Somaliland president welcomed the recent apology by the Somali president over the massacre committed by the revolutionary regime in Somaliland, which he said was unexpected.

“On the 13th, there was an unexpected surprise that Farmajo apologized for the shelling of Somaliland, Hassan Sheikh outlined what happened before but that Farmajo was the first president to apologize and we accepted it,” the President said.

On the other hand, president Bihi addressed a mysterious meeting he recent had with President Farmajo in Addis Ababa.

“The Ethiopian prime minister invited me to the African summit and told me that I would meet with President Farmajo, he also told me that wanted to mediate between the two sides, and I supported him and accepted it,” Bihi said.

Somaliland Elections

The president’s speeches also addressed, in part, the disputed election commission, pledging to open new parties, adding it would be the only solution to end the long-standing conflict in Somaliland’s elections.

Its not clear whether the president’s speech calm the political weather of the Country, But it seems Somaliland’s politics have entered a new dimension.
