Hargeisa (SD) – Somaliland’s Rapid Response Unit (RRU) Police have arrested two young teachers who at Al-Bayan, a Koranic school in the district of Jarrato in Hargeisa.

The RRU is trained and supported among others by the British, and were to combat the terrorist activities in Somaliland.

The soldiers arrested the two teachers at the airport early this morning while teaching the children the Qur’an.

The reason for the arrest of the two teachers is unknown, the arrest follows last week’s arrest of two other teachers in the same neighborhood.

The Al-Bayan School didn’t comment on the arrest of the teachers yet, these arrests are usually challenged by the community.

This is yet at least for now, another unexplained arrest by a Police unit supported financially by Britain’s tax payers.
