Dhusamareb(SD)-The head of the Galmudug regional government and Ahlu Sunna wal Jamaa leader Sheikh Mohamed Shakir Ali Hassan met with the AMISOM Force Commander and his deputies in Dhusamareb today.

Although much is not know what was discussed, sources close to the meetings said that the conversations revolved around the safety of Galmudug regions and to further cooperate on the fight against Al-Shabab.

The AMISOM Force Commander also met in Dhusamareb with ministers and government officials today.

“Today we have met with the commander-in-chief of AMISOM and other officials, and we have discussed how AMISOM can help maintain the security of the district and the upcoming conference in Dhusamareb and the co-operation process of the two forces,”. said the Somali Minister of Security Mohamed Abukar Islow.

Ahlu Sunna has previously refused to have government troops and AMISOM forces in their region, but now it appears that sides have drawn closer.
