Mataban(SD)-Reports from Matabaan district in Hiran region indicate a an attack on the Somali Minister of Interior Abdi Mohamed Sabriye’s convoy near Mataban.

The minister was on his way to Mataban district but was reportedly intercepted by armed militias suspected to belong to Ahlu Sunna Waljama’a, and as per the Mataban residents, the government forces accompanying the Interior minster have entered the district forcibly.

No casualties were reported as a result of clashes between government forces and insurgents.

Central control of the city is taken over by the federal government forces from Ahlu Sunna.

The Somali federal government is invested in bringing about a local government loyal to them in the region.

Ahlu Sunna the current rulers, are not excited about the federal governments plans.
