Kismayo(SD)-Jubaland administration has given more details of a shooting in Kismayo and the gunmen who targeted a prominent elder Avv. Ahmed Jama Qalyar, as he was injured and is being treated at Kismayo General Hospital.

The spokesman for the Jubaland security Authorities Abdinur Ibrahim Hussein, said they were pursuing the group behind the shooting incident, adding that the victims health is  improving.

It is said that Avv Qalyar was part of the opposition party opposing  President Ahmed Madobe’s re-election in Kismayo recently.
