Hargeisa (SD) – A delegation from the international donor community held private meetings with the Somaliland mediation delegation that ended the conflict, the opposition and the ruling parties of Somaliland.

The EU and IGAD delegation welcomed the Mediation Committee’s decision to end the election dispute and noted that they set a good example for the world in how hard they have worked and how the parties have all excepted their resolutions.

Similarly, the Mediations Committee said they have informed the international community of their decisions on the election dispute resolutions.

The Voluntary Mediation Committee thanked the three parties and the government who accepted their decision and commended them for their respect.

Also, the opposition and the ruling party both said they had agreed on the resolution of the delegation and are now working together on how to implement it.

The Mediation Committee which consisted of Business and religious leaders have called for the dissolution of the new commission, while the former commission is restored.
