Berbera (SD) – Tribal conflict has erupted in Beyo Dhere district in Sahil region between two clans living there.

The fighting is between the two clans Ahmed Farah and Omar of the Habarjelo clan, and it is rooted in issues related to the ownership of Beyo Dhere town.

According to reports from Hadhwanaagnews media, six people were injured in the fighting and are currently being treated at the Berbera general hospital, while the death toll is one.

Reports from Hadhwanaagnews also suggest that the current fighting between the two Habarjelo clans is based on land dispute.

Meanwhile, police have been dispatched to Beyo Dhere region to help calm the fighting and safe guard the civilian communities living there.
