Former Somalia PM Nur Adde Contracted Covid-19

London (SD) – Former Prime Minister of the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia, Ambassador Nur Hassan Hussein (Nur Adde), is ill in England, London, after being reported to have been infected with Covid-19.

Prime Minister Hassan Kheyre spoke with Nur Adde’s Family and gave details of his conversation with the family.

 “I pray to Allah to provide immediate recovery to the former Prime Minister, Mr. Nur Hassan Hussein (Nur Adde), who is ill in London. I spoke to his family on the phone and told them that the government and the people of Somalia are standing with them.” Said Kheyre.

Within Hours of the news, there were false reports on social media that the former PM had succumbed to the virus.

Mohamed Nur Adde, one of the sons of the former PM confirmed to local media that his dad is still alive and hopes for his recovery.

In Europe, infected Somalis with the Covid-19 are reported to be on the rise, due to lack of community information in preventing the spread of the virus.
