Taleh(SD)-Somaliland new Minister of Information Saleban Yusuf Ali Kore arrived in Taleh district of Sool region yesterday.

Somaliland’s Minister of Information spoke with some of the residents in the region and spoke about Somaliland’s plans for Taleh.

Minister Kore who is from Sool region was accompanied by a Hanad Hashi of the Hargeisa Municipal Council, one of President Muse’s closes associates.

Its not known the details of the Minister’s visit just before his new portfolio, and if its a signal in political direction in the region.

For more than two decades Puntland and Somaliland have been in contention for control of the Sool, Sanaag and Eyn regions, and on several occasions fierce fighting has resulted in deaths, injuries and displacement.
