WASHINGTON (SD) – US Congress tables a motion to Establish Relations and Cooperation between Somaliland and the United States.

The motion follows an important meeting between lawmakers and the President of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, and an accompanying delegation today.

The motion calls for the US State Department to submit an annual report to the US Congress on US aid to Somaliland, and to conduct a study to explain how the United States and Somaliland can work together on security issues.
