Beledweyne September 11, 2022 (SD) – Reports from Hiiraan indicates that an explosion this morning killed a police officer in Beledweyne, the capital of Hiiraan region 

The explosion targeted mine clearing crew operating at Ugaas Khaliif Airport,  there is conflicting news about the explosion with some reporting the bomb was attached to the car, while other reporting that it was placed on the side road. 

It’s been reported later on three other officers in the vehicle got injured as well. The explosion took place near Xaawa-Taako. 

Hirshabelle police reached at the scene of the explosion, and carried out vast sweeping operations there. It’s yet unclear whether there’s been any arrests.

So far, no one has claimed responsibility for the deadly explosion that took place in Beledweyne today.
