Jubaland President Receives African Union Special Representative for Somalia

KISMAYO (SD) – The President of Jubaland, Ahmed Mohamed Islam (Madobe), today welcomed the African Union’s Special Representative for Somalia, Ambassador El Hadji Ibrahim Diene, and his delegation at the Presidential Palace in Kismayo.

The high-level delegation, which included senior officials from ATMIS (African Union Transition Mission in Somalia), held discussions with President Madobe focusing on the country’s political situation, security affairs, and the ongoing fight against terrorism.

During the meeting, Ambassador Diene commended Jubaland’s collaborative efforts in liberating various regions of the state and stabilizing newly recovered territories.

He praised the Jubaland Security Forces for their tangible and critical contributions to Somalia’s overall stability.
