Nogadishu(SD)-Air Uganda has launched direct flights to Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.

A ceremony to mark the launch of Uganda Airlines between Mogadishu and Kampala was held at Aden Adde International Airport today.

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Somalia Abdulkadir Ahmed Kheyr thanked the Government of Uganda, the Air Uganda and the people who worked on the deal, He said this is a great opportunity for the Somali people and students, who will go straight to Uganda when they leave Mogadishu.

In 2013, Uganda Airlines started flights to Mogadishu, and suspended the flights to Somalia for financial reasons.
