Galkayo (SD) – Galmudug President Ahmed Duale Guelleh Haf has appointed a new and opposing Galmudug Electoral Commission today.

In a press release, president Haf appointed 11 new members as the new Galmudug Electoral Commission.

The nominated members are instructed to confine no later than 10th of January 2020, and elect a Chairman and Vice-President by 12 January 2020.

Also, Haf has withdrawn his confidence from the Galmudug state building process run by the Somali Interior Ministry, who also announced a list of a new state MP’s for Galmudug.

Galmudug State has been mired with political strive due to the federal government’s interference on the election process there.
