Mogadishu(SD)-The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia Ahmed Issa Awad gave details on the outcome of a meeting held in Bossaso between a ministerial delegation from the Federal Government of Somalia and Puntland president, Said Abdullahi Deni.
Minister Awad said their trip was about ending the dispute between the Federal Government and Puntland, and the Jubaland issue.
“During our discussions, the issue of Jubbaland and the election came up, and we really disagreed”. said Minister Awad.
The minister said that the administration and the people of Puntland are unhappy with the conflict.
Reports indicate that a delegation led by the president of the semi-autonomous state of Puntland is heading to Kismayo, the administrative capital of Jubaland.
They are to attend the inauguration of President Ahmed Mohamed Islam [Ahmed Madobe].
