NISA blames foreign Country for Mogadishu bombing

Mogadishu (SD) – The Somali Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) said a foreign country is behind the Ex-Control Afgoye bombing, in a preliminary report.

NISA said in a statement on its Twitter account that it had preliminary reports indicating that the attack was planned by a foreign nation.

“We have submitted to the national authorities a preliminary report indicating that the massacre of the Somali people in Mogadishu, on 28 Dec-2019, was planned by a foreign country,” NISA said.

NISA did not disclose the name of the foreign country which it said had planned the bombing, but said it will seek collaboration with intelligence agencies around the world.

“On the ongoing investigation, we will work with some of the world’s intelligence agencies,” NISA concluded.

The 28th blast in Mogadishu killed more than 100 people, no one has yet claimed responsibility.
