Garowe (SD) – Puntland police in Nugal region have arrested two men who were said to be illegally hunting by wild animals.

Authorities say the two men and others who are wanted in connection with the killing of a large number of Antelope, and were caught carrying them in a bag.

This happened in rural Burtinle County, where there have been many instances of illegal poaching of many species of wildlife.

Many people have been arrested previously for similar actions, following reports that companies are buying wildlife.

Puntland has already banned poaching, and there is a ministry that works to protect wildlife.
