Mogadishu(SD)-The federal government of Somalia has commented on the Hajj meeting between President Muse Bihi of Somaliland and the federal government ministers.

Somali Finance Minister Abdirahman Duale Bayle who himself hails from Somaliland and was one of the Somali officials who met with President Muse Bihi, and his fellow ministers, spoke about his feelings at the meeting.

“The people of Somalia long for lasting peace and reconciliation, this positive message(photo) from all of the Somali Hajj pilgrims who meet in Saudi Arabia shows that there is no separation between them, and their unity, The desire of the Somali people to live and work together is fundamental to lasting peace and success. Let us all acknowledge that we are moving towards a genuine and meaningful reconciliation, and leading our society to prosperity and unity.” said minister Bayle in a Facebook post.

The Hajj photo of Somaliland President with Somalia ministers has sparked a debate among the hard core faction of Kulmiye party who are vehemently against unity with Somalia.
