Bujumbura (SD) – A delegation led by UID Party leader Faisal Ali Hussein, Prof Ahmed Muse Abyan and Foreign Secretary Hibaq Ali Maydhalaalis held separate meetings with the Burundian authorities.

The delegation, meeting with the country’s vice president Gaston Sindimwo and cabinet ministers of the Burundi government, they discussed Somaliland’s business and investment potential  and other viable political relationships .

Burundian leaders welcomed the Somaliland authorities and said they would work diplomatically on the issue of Somaliland. Dahabshiil’s Burundian branch hosted a luncheon ceremony for the UCID delegation in Bujumbura on Tuesday.

The relationship between Somaliland and Burundi is becoming more and more important for Somaliland’s quest for independence.
