NY(SD)-UN Secretary General’s Special Representative for Somalia James Swan in his report to the Security Council on Thursday talked about his first visit to Somaliland and the points he discussed with the leaders of the Republic of Somaliland.

“I visited Somaliland 27 July 28th and held consultations with the Somaliland authorities, we are encouraged them to continue the dialogue between the governments of Hargeisa and Mogadishu so the previous efforts can be successful “said Secretary General of the United Nations for Somalia.”

This comes after the UN Secretary General also gave a more detailed report on Somaliland few days ago.
