MOGADISHU (SD) – Deputy Minister for Humanitarian Affairs Abdirashid Hassan has directed 16 dismissed employees of the ministry to resume work barely two week after they were reportedly sacked by minister Khadija Mohamed Diriye.
In a statement, Hassan asked employees to neglect the order, terming the directive by minister Diriye illegal and unprocedural.
“We would like to inform all concerned workers to report to us as long as they are aware of this,
Hassan noted that any order sacking employees during this transitional period violated the Prime Minister’s decree on May 25, 2021 which put a moratorium on such actions.
Minister Khadija has commented yet on the circumstances surrounding the dismissal of the 16 officials.
