HARGEISA (SD) According to the Secretary of Media for the Waddani Party, Mahamoud (Galal), the inauguration ceremony for the new President of Somaliland, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi “Irro,” will take place tomorrow at the Presidential Palace in Hargeisa.

The event will be a handover of power, during which the newly elected President and Vice President will take their constitutional oaths.

It is important to note that outgoing President Muse Bihi Abdi and his government are managing the ceremony, but some individuals critical of the current administration are unlikely to attend. Several regional and international delegations were expected, but due to the President’s rejection, some of them will not be able to participate.

A welcoming ceremony for President Irro will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024, individuals, especially those critical of the current government, are expected to attend.
