Hargeisa (SD) – Somaliland President Muse Bihi Abdi has accused the leaders of the Federal Government of Somalia of being their number one enemy, causing them a lot of problems.

The President of Somaliland Muse Bihi Abdi made the remarks at the 30th anniversary of Somaliland’s independence.

The president said that the only government in the world that opposes the statehood of Somaliland is the outgoing government led by the outgoing President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo.

“It is unfortunate it is a relentless hostility. We in Somaliland have a message for Somalis, we want to live in peace with the world, let alone Somalis, but Somalis are divided on interests, ”said President Muse Bihi.

Somaliland President Muse Bihi Abdi has said that the violence against the people of Somaliland is not the fault of anyone in particular, but it was the responsibility of the government led by the dictator Mohamed Siad Barre, as he put it.

“After a long struggle in which many lives and property were lost, we were able to regain our independence in early 1991, today 30 years later, we have made great strides in achieving great progress, lasting peace, and prosperity for our nation.” President Bihi said.

The statement by Somaliland President Muse Bihi Abdi comes at a time when the four-year rule of outgoing President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has not resulted in any talks between the Somali government and Somaliland, which reclaimed it’s independence from the rest of Somalia in 1991.
