Mogadishu (SD) -A car bomb attack occurred in the Ceelasha Biyaha area, on the outskirts of the capital, targeting Mogadishu’s security forces.
The spokesman for the Somali police, Sadiq Doodishie, spoke to the media and stated that the car bomb was carried out by Al-Shabaab militants who used a vehicle laden with explosives.
Doodishie also mentioned that Al-Shabaab had been planning this attack, initially aiming to infiltrate the city of Mogadishu. However, their efforts were thwarted, they then targeted the forces stationed in Ceelasha.
The car bomb attack resulted in the deaths of at least six people, including four security personnel, and injured more than twenty individuals.
Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the devastating car bomb attack and stated that it had killed several government soldiers in the attack.
