MOGADISHU (SD) – Details are emerging of operations conducted by DANAB forces in areas where Al-Shabaab fighters have bases.

Reports indicate that the DANAB Commandos carried out the planned operation in Toarorow and Aliyow Barow areas in Lower Shabelle.

The operation was carried out exclusively by the 4th Battalion of the 16th Somali National Army Command DANAB, and military officials said they had captured al-Shabaab fighters.

The officials added that they have destroyed bases and tolls where Al-Shabaab fighters used to collect money from the public.

The DANAB officials have confirmed arresting about six Al Shabaab fighter in the operation.
