Djibouti (SD) – The government of Djibouti has addressed the delay in the resumption of talks between Somaliland and Somalia’s technical committees appointed by the two sides.
Djiboutian Foreign Minister Mahmoud Ali Youssouf said the talks would continue, although he did not specify when they would reopen, as both sides appear to be reluctant.
The minister urged the leaders of both countries to overcome the obstacles that are hampering the talks, noting that the government of Djibouti is working to reopen the talks.
The minister made the remarks in a statement posted on his Twitter account.
Talks between Somaliland and Somalia, were due to reopen in Djibouti in its second phase, but have come stand still, as it has been delayed indefinitely.
