Djibouti (SD) – The President of Egypt has today paid a historic visit to Djibouti, where he was warmly welcomed by President Guelleh.
Egypt is reported to be building alliances in the region and has so far signed military agreements with several countries.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi held talks with his Djiboutian counterpart Ismail Omar Guelleh.
Among the issues discussed was the dispute over the Nile River, according to Egyptian media.
Relations between the two countries come at a time of escalating tensions between Egypt and Ethiopia.
