Muqdisho (SD) – Reports from Mogadishu say that a heavy explosion has occurred in Mogadishu, especially on the road between the airport and KM4 junction.

The blast reportedly took place in the Gelato Divino area, a restaurant opposite the Sahal Terminal.

Reports are indicating that a man wearing a suicide vest blew himself up at a restaurant. Various casualties were reported as a result of the blast.

The scene of the blast is a crowded area, as well as close to the airport’s first security checkpoint.
