MOGADISHU (SD) – President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo has appointed fourth Villa Somalia chief of staff since coming to office in 2017.
In a statement, President Farmaajo announced a new replacement at the helm of the Villa Somalia administration following the ministerial changes last week.
Mohamed Abdullahi Isse aka Dheere will now be chief of staff at Villa Somalia replacing Abdisaid Muse Ali who was moved last week to become Minister of Foreign Affairs.
“Mohamed Dheere will be contributing to the Office of the President with over 28 years of work experience, specializing in politics, administration and community development,” a statement from Villa Somalia read in part. “President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has instructed the new Director to carry out the important tasks and prayed to God to make this difficult task easier for him.”
President Farmaajo thanked the former Villa Somalia chief of staff who is now the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdisaid Muse Ali for his dedicated leadership during his short tenure.
Last week, Ali replaced Mohamed Abdirizak who was sworn in on November 25, 2020.
Ali had previously been former national security advisor to the president and also former regional political advisor to the European Union special representative to the Horn of Africa.
