MOGADISHU (SD) – The Federal Electoral Implementation Team (FEIT) has opposed the removal of Mohamed Dahir Guled as the Chairman of the Galmudug State Electoral Implementation Team (SEIT).

Ahmed Safino, the Spokesman for the Federal Electoral Implementation Team, told the media that the letter published on the official pages of the Galmudug State Electoral Implementation Team was incorrect.

Safiino added that FEIT will make sure the Galmudug SEIT members behind the move would face the necessary disciplinary measures for their actions.

“The Galmudug SEIT has not convened a meeting to oust its chairman or re-elect another, so we will take action against those who committed this fraudulent act,” said the FEIT spokesperson.

A section of Galmudug SEIT members who released the statement said they have replaced Dahir with Mohamed Kassim Mohamud as a secretary to the team.
