Garowe (SD) – Former Somali Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke and Abdiweli Mohamed Ali Gaas arrived in Garowe, the capital of Puntland today, accompanied by former Puntland President Senator Abdirahman Farole.
Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni and other senior officials of the Puntland administration have warmly welcomed the former Prime Ministers and the Senator of Somalia who arrived in Garowe today.
The officials who arrived in Garowe have reportedly gone there to take part in resolving the ongoing clashes in Bossaso following the dismissal of the former PSF director.
Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni, in televised speech, has called on Puntland politicians and intellectuals to work for peace and stability in the region.
In the coastal city of Bossaso, days of fighting between government forces and the PSF have left both soldiers and civilians dead.
