MOGADISHU (SD) – At least four people have been killed and three sustained injuries after rival government forces clashed in Somali capital, residents confirmed Saturday.
According to locals in Ex-control Afgoye vicinity, two rival government forces have disputed over control of a checkpoint in the area, prompting fierce which lasted for half an hour.
The victims were said commuters on their morning business when they were caught on the crossfire.
Somali authorities have not yet commented on the clashes between the government forces.
Government soldiers are severally accused of extorting money from the private and public vehicles plying Mogadishu-Afgoye highway.
