Hargeisa (SD) – The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, has tonight convened a meeting between the former Mayor of Hargeisa, Abdirahman Mohamud Aided (Soltelco) and the possible new Mayor of Hargeisa, Abdikarim Ahmed Mooge.

The president spoke to both at the meeting and thanked the former mayor of Hargeisa for his decision not to run for a second term, and advised Abdikarim Ahmed Mooge, currently the only candidate for mayor of Hargeisa, the capital of Somaliland to work together in good faith.

“Abdikarin, today you will take the city’s reign. The other men will not oppose you and the people are happy with that. We will work with you and Abdirahman will be your right hand man.” Said President Muse at a joint press conference.

Finally, the President thanked the former Mayor of Hargeisa, Abdirahman Mohamud Aided, and the candidate for the next five years, Mr. Abdikarim Ahmed Mooge, while they both promised to abide by the advise of the president and the will of the people.
