HARGEISA (SD) – Ambassadors from various countries have stated that the voting in the Somaliland elections was conducted transparently and peacefully.
They mentioned that Somaliland’s democracy is similar to democracies around the world, based on providing candidates with the opportunity to participate in free and fair elections.
Speaking to the media in Hargeisa, these ambassadors praised the electoral commission for their work, noting that they demonstrated transparency and neutrality.
“We want to congratulate the people of Somaliland for the peaceful way they voted on November 13. We look forward to working with Somaliland to strengthen its democracy,” said Ambassador Mike from the UK.
They emphasized that voters will determine the next president of Somaliland, and it is necessary for all stakeholders to accept the election results.
