KISMAU(SD) – Jubaland has responded to the accusation made by the Federal Government of Somalia, which claimed that the Ethiopian government had delivered military equipment and supplies to the temporary capital of Jubaland, Kismayo, to support Ahmed Madobe.
Jubaland’s Minister of Security, General Yusuf Hussein Osman (Dhuumaal), dismissed the statement from the Somali government as false and baseless. He expressed regret that the Somali government announced that planes carrying weapons and ammunition had landed in Kismayo and called on the government to provide evidence for their claim.
“The government should not make such accusations based on what it sees on social media. If they have evidence, they should present it,” said Minister Dhuumaal.
The Minister also stated that the Ethiopian forces are conducting operations not only in Jubaland but also in South West State and Hirshabelle.
