Mo Farah: Happy to announce my new role as ambassador for Djibouti Port

Djibouti (SD) – Mohamed Farah (Mo Farah) has been appointed by the government of Djibouti as its Ambassador to the Ports and Free Zone Authority (DPFZA).

The government of Djibouti has done major renovations to the port and turned it into a commercial district.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ismail Omar Guelleh announced the appointment of Mo Farah and said his government had begun its vision for 2035 and wanted his country to become a hub for international trade.

“We were delighted to be joined by Mo Farah at the ceremony to launch the regeneration of the historical Port of Djibouti! DPFZA is thrilled to have Sir Mo as our ambassador and look forward to collaborating on future projects.” Said DPFZA on Twitter.

DPFZA added “Links between Djibouti and Sir Mo Farah are deep, and we are proud to work together to unleash Africa’s potentials.”

It is noteworthy that the world record holder was born in Gabiley in Somaliland, which competes with Djibouti on maritime trade.
