Mohamed BK Requests Oldon’s release

London (SD) – Somaliland singer Mohamed BK in a televised speech requested that the country’s president Muse Bihi Abdi pardon Abdimalik Muse Oldon.

BK celebrating with Somalilanders on the country;s independent day celebration made the request.

“Mr President we would like to respectfully request you release Abdimalik Oldon, on the occasion of the May 18 celebrations and the prevalence of COVID-19 in the country, and the fact that the country’s poor, more than ever, need his services, him and along others with minor infractions” said BK on his televised request.

Abdi Malik Oldon is serving a three year sentence due to allegations he insulted the president.

BK is known for his staunch stand for Somaliland’s independence, making the request unusual.

The Somaliland president recently pardoned 365 prisons on the occation of the country’s independence day
