Officers responsible for the areas attacked by Al-Shabaab arrested

MOGADISHU (SD) -Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, visited Erdogan Hospital in Mogadishu last night and discussed the strict measures being taken to hold accountable the officers responsible for the areas attacked by Al-Shabaab. He also extended condolences to the families and friends of those who lost their lives in the attack.

Hamza Abdi Barre stated that Al-Shabaab targeted the young people, who were the future and hope of the country and had no political involvement, enjoying their time peacefully in their homeland after being defeated on the battlefield.

The Prime Minister called on the Somali people to continue supporting the security forces and institutions to eradicate the Khawarij who stand against the Somali people.

During his visit, Hamza Abdi Barre met with some of the injured victims of the attack, received updates from the hospital management and doctors, and expressed his support and solidarity. He also commended the security forces for their role in rescuing and assisting the affected civilians.
