Mogadishu May 31, 2023 (SD) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamsa Abdi Barre, opened the Conference on the Implementation of the Federalization of Justice aimed at promoting the rule of law.
The Initiative agreed upon during the 4th National Reconciliation Conference, is being implemented to consolidate the Federal Constitution and was hailed by the Prime Minister as a successful national endeavor, which positively shapes the future of the Somali government.
The Prime Minister noted that in order to have a justice system and an independent judiciary in the country, a number of measures have been taken, including the reform of the Courts, the employment of experienced judges, the removal of fees and stopped the illegal activities carried out by the Criminal Investigation Department of the CID.
The Prime Minister, in his address, highlighted the government’s commitment to achieving sustainable peace and a strong leadership that upholds the principles of justice, while emphasizing the importance of fully embracing the Federal Constitution.
