Mogadishu (SD) – President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo at the symposium organized by RAAS Institute regarding the country’s recent election agreement between the Federal and Regional states failed to answer some questions.
The Symposium which was held at the Presidential Palace, was also live on multiple Somali Channels was watched attentively by political insiders and the public.
The president was asked a number of questions, some of which he did not answer directly and said he was having a hard time with the questions and some he skipped or referred to the country’s Parliament.
One of the most controversial questions asked last night was about the Sool and Sanaag elections, asked by a woman who he said was difficult and he could not answer.
The issue of Qalbi Dhagah and adding him to the terrorists list, was brought up by a young man, the President did not answer, Instead, the presenter said the question was of topic.
The president was asked about Benadir Region’s 13 seats, the President told the person who asked that question to ask the Speakers of both Houses.
The President was also asked if he was a candidate, to which he replied I will answer when that time comes.
Political observers say President Farmajo failure to answer these questions indicate the President’s lack of political knowledge and will.
