Mogadishu (SD) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, has congratulated the entire Somali people on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and asked Allah to accept their fasting and good worship during the holy month of Ramadan.

President Farmajo commended the Somali people for their patience with the imposed lock-down for protecting the health of the Somali people, especially during the month of Ramadan which typically increases the burden of living.

“Our brave troops have ensured that the Somali people have peace and tranquility during the holy month of Ramadan, across the country, especially in the capital city of Mogadishu, after so many years fasted in peace.” said President Farmajo again.

The Somali president advised Somali people that for the joy of Eid al-fitr, everyone should contribute to the happiness of the needy, working for the common good, security and unity, all of which are pillars of Islamic obligation.
