BOSSASO (SD) -Puntland Security Forces are carrying out operations against terrorist groups in the mountains of Bari and Sanaag regions.

Most of the operations took place in the Galgala Mountains, in which Puntland Forces had reportedly targeted Al-Shabab bases.

Puntland Security Officials stated that the week-long operations had been successful and that they have destroyed Al-Shabab bases.

Puntland Forces have been battling Al-Shabab militants who took the mountains of the region for refuge for more than 10 years, Puntland has lost hundreds of soldiers during these operations.
