The statement from the Puntland Human Rights Defender’s Office stated that the Office of the Human Rights Defender is monitoring the killing of a girl in Bossaso and the killing of an assistant to the Puntland Military Court.
“We have been in close contact with a girl who has been detained at various times in Dangoroyo and Garowe, as well as the Bari and Nugal Regional Police Command, the Military Court and the General Police Command,” said Said Abdi Mumin, Puntland’s human rights defender.
The Puntland Human Rights Defender’s Office has called on the security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation into the incidents in Garowe and Bossaso, while protecting the rights of those suspected of involvement.
