GAROOWE (SD) – Puntland lawmakers have signed a motion calling for President Said Abdullahi Deni to appear before parliament immediately.
More than 20 lawmakers have signed the motion, which calls for the president to appear before parliament within a week so they can question him about the country’s current situation.
The motion came after members of the Puntland Parliament today rejected again a re-appointed member of the Puntland Supreme Court Council.
Deni spent several hours having a working lunch with members of the Puntland Parliament, whom he briefed n the general situation in Puntland and his failed election campaign in Mogadishu.
This latest move have created a lot of discussions in Puntland, and the public is wondering what is the reason that the Puntland Parliament is summoning the president.
